Henry's Heroes

Henry was born with a complex cardiac condition and in 2019 underwent open heart surgery. His condition is Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) which include four separate defects, including a large hole in the heart.

He spent 5 weeks in ICU after many post-surgical complications. At one stage we came close to losing our boy but Henry being the ultimate fighter that is, soldiered on and eventually came home in time for Christmas. It is a lifelong condition and without the support of HeartKids our family wouldn’t have been able to get through this difficult period.

Henry is now 3 and ½ and has made great gains in his development in the past 12 months with the help of many great therapists. He has started pre-kindy this year and although he still has many challenges ahead, he has so many family and friends that support and love him greatly!

HeartKids have been an amazing support for our family during one of the hardest times we have endured and now I want to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the annual Two Feet & A Heartbeat walk.
